WHAT WE DO
ASKING FOR HELP
“Will you help me?”
Asking For Help is Audio Outreach's distinctive method for helping local believers begin conversations with Least and Unreached people.
A trained believer asks someone to listen to an audio recording believed to be in their Mother Tongue and help verify that the language is correct.
Rather than immediately leading with religious terminology, the process begins with listening, curiosity, and conversation.
As trust develops, Gospel discussions begin naturally.
AUDIO GOSPEL OUTREACH
Audio allows people to hear Gospel stories in the language they know best. Depending on the community, recordings may be shared through smartphones or dedicated audio devices. This can be especially helpful when literacy is limited, printed Christian material is difficult to obtain, or the national language is not the language spoken at home.
PASTOR & LEADER TRAINING
Audio Outreach provides focused training that helps pastors, Christian leaders, and disciple-makers use audio Gospel resources and Asking For Help within their own communities. Training typically focuses on practical outreach, relationship building, Gospel Listening Groups, discipleship, multiplication, and ongoing follow-up.
Training Duration: Core Asking For Help training is approximately 1 to 2 days, followed by continued mentoring and field experience.
GOING TWO BY TWO
Audio Outreach encourages trained believers to go into communities in teams of two. One person can manage the audio or smartphone while the other helps with visual materials and conversation. Working together also provides encouragement, accountability, and complementary experience as the team meets people and begins building relationships.
GOING TWO BY TWO
As people listen to Gospel stories, they are encouraged to invite spouses, family members, neighbors, friends, and coworkers. Those gatherings can become Gospel Listening Groups, where people continue meeting to listen, discuss, ask questions, and learn together.
DISCIPLESHIP
Evangelism is only the beginning. When listeners express a desire to follow Jesus, local believers continue meeting with them, answering questions and helping them grow in faith. Teaching emphasizes faith, repentance, obedience, prayer, and Christian growth.
MULTIPLICATION
Audio Outreach trains people who can eventually train others. This multiplication model helps the ministry reach farther than any one person or outside missionary could reach alone.
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
Supports children's outreach through Bible teaching, camps, teacher training, special programs, storytelling, and other activities that connect with entire families.
AUDIO & LANGUAGE RESOURCES
Audio Outreach works with mission partners like Global Recordings Network (GRN, featuring 5fish resources) to provide Gospel stories across thousands of languages and dialects.
CHURCH PLANTING
As Gospel Listening Groups grow and new believers mature, some groups develop into local churches in cooperation with local denominations.
PASSING THE MANTLE
Audio Outreach uses the Passing of the Mantle as a symbolic part of training graduations. The mantle represents responsibility, leadership, mentorship, and the call to pass what has been learned to others.
